We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We were very blessed by our family, friends and support churches and had quite a few presents to open under the tree this year. The girls were very excited, and after a yummy breakfast we gathered in a circle to open gifts. The joy on each girl’s face was priceless. In an effort to share the happiness with you from afar, we have a video slide show of Christmas!

After a scrumptious BBQ, we had a birthday cake for Jesus! All the girls sang a rather loud chorus of Happy Birthday, and those Christmas verses found in Isaiah seemed to drift in the air:

For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counselor,
The Mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:5-7

This new year, let us hold on to the hope we have in the Prince of peace! Feliz Cumpleanos, Jesus! And to the supporters who bless us in the name of Jesus: Thank you!

A group from Tennessee came down a couple of weeks ago and built a boat in our yard for the girls to play in/on. The girls love it. There are three swings, a tire swing, a climbing wall, a captain’s nest – with a steering wheel, gymnastics rings, an upper and lower deck, a hammock inside, and a slide on it’s way to Honduras. They also got hot water into the shower! Here are a few pictures and a video of the the new boat.

Lots of news around here. We have moved to a new house! It is bigger and has a much larger yard, which is amazing when you have so many little girls running around. We now have 6 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. God really has blessed us with it, and the help with the move. It is amazing! We also have a lot of fruit trees!

Thanks so much to Darryl, Dan and Danscela for coming down to help with the move and with painting the entire house, you guys are lifesavers!!!

We also celebrated Gabby’s and Paola’s Birthdays recently!! Gabby turned 10 and Paola turned 7! Paola had a surprise party and Gabby had a pool party! (The pool is one of the new things that was donated for the new house) Thank you so much for the donation it is an amazing addition to the house and the kids love it! 

Yuri is in Honduras!! She came down last week from college with a friend and surprised all the girls, They are so happy to have her here for a few weeks and she’s happy to see all the girls. Yuri went last Sunday to the U.S. embassy in Tegucigalpa to get her visa renewed and she was approved for a four year student visa! Congratulations Yuri!

Aracely was not the least bit fazed by her new haircut. The only comment she made was, “it will be easier to wash my hair now”. Most describe Aracely as being able to find the party in everything…for Ara, life is song and dance. Nothing brings this “munchkin” down.

Ruthy graduated from high school the end of November. She has worked tremendously hard the past four years. We are SO proud of her! We are working on getting her to the States to further her education and get her cosmetology license. Please pray for her through this process. Congrats Ruthy!! We love you!!!
