We met Lilian through one of our doctors at the local hospital, after she was admitted for parasites and malnutrition.

Lilian lives in extreme poverty with her family. There are no beds and little food in the wooden shack home her father built in a small mountain village close to the border of Guatemala.

Lilian is 19 years old, but looks eight. Doctors have not identified her condition.

After expressing her desire to study, Lilian came for a week long visit to our home. She experienced many new things; sleeping in a bed, her first haircut and blow dry, pizza, going to the mall, etc… At the end of the week she was excited to return to her home and tell of all the adventures she went on and all the new experiences she had with us.
